From hiding our bodies to embracing them.
I first noticed something was different about my legs when I was nine years old. For the next two decades, I ran, dieted, and pushed my body — only to break even at best. At 33, I had to stop running entirely. A late-night internet search finally gave me a name for what I'd been living with: lipedema.
In 2025, I had surgery. And for the first time, my body matched my spirit. Lipedema Unfiltered was born from that clarity — a space to share what I've learned, reduce stigma, and help others find their way sooner than I did.
